Our week was full of fun as we learned about the Trinity–One in Three, and Three in One! Our neighborhood children began each day playing outside with the Franciscans and their friends from Michigan, Springfield, IL, Ohio and beyond! We were so happy to welcome our friends Fr. Kyle from the diocese of Grand Rapids, MI, and Fr. Wayne from the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, who brought youth from their parishes/schools to help serve at Bible Camp.
Each day included a Scripture Prayer Service each morning in Our Lady of the Angels Church, snacks, Scripture Stories, prayer, crafts, games and songs. The children learned about God the Father’s love, Jesus the Son’s sacrifice and how the Holy Spirit dwells in us and helps us make good choices and bare good fruit (not like a fruit basket, but like virtues!) We can’t wait for Week Two. We’ll be learning about Forgiveness.
