Over the years, our community has been blessed to have a close friendship with the folks over at the Hallow prayer app. Many Hallow employees have been generous supporters of and volunteers at the Mission, and Sr. Jaime has served on Hallow’s religious leader advisory board for several years. Recently, Sr. Alicia became the latest FE to join the incredible selection of prayers, meditation, reflections, and musical collections available on Hallow. As a part of their new 4-part Catholic Social Teaching section, Sr. Alicia shares a beautiful story about supporting a young woman through a crisis pregnancy many years ago and leads us in a meditation on sanctity of pre-born human life.
Sr. Stephanie is featured in a section called “Running Prayers,” where she leads listeners in 4 different prayerful runs (including a 2 hour long run!) and a short Christ-centered post-run cooldown. Many friends of ours (and Team OLA runners) have shared how much they have loved listening to these sessions while training for the marathon or simply enjoying a leisurely run.
Finally, Sr. Jaime is featured in the “Sleep” section of the app, where she leads us in a soothing and prayerful reading of St. Paul’s Letter to the Philippians with the intention of helping listeners to drift off to sleep while filling their minds with the loving words of God to us in the Scriptures.
You can find all of our sister’s meditations, prayers, and reflections in the Hallow App by going to the search page, selecting “Nuns and Sisters” and scrolling down until you see “Franciscan Sisters.”
We are so grateful to all those involved with the Hallow App for their beautiful mission and this opportunity to pray with so many people!
