Peace! This past week we hosted our first Summer Bible Camp for the kids in our neighborhood. We spent four days together learning about Salvation History–from Creation to the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and our lives as followers of Jesus today. A combination of lessons, Bible-based skits, review, crafts, songs and games help us to share the message of God’s love with the kids who come. I think it is safe to say they enjoyed the pipe cleaner project (they could make anything from God’s creation) and the Prayer Walk (a.k.a. Procession) the most. Please enjoy the pictures and please keep these kids in your prayers. They are all precious and really only want one thing: to know they are loved.
Many tanks to Christine, Mat, Amy, Anna and Erin for coming out to volunteer during Bible Camp, and to all our benefactors and friends who made camp possible. We were able to provide the kids with a healthy lunch, snacks and a fun desert each day. They all took home food to share with their families at the end of camp as well as their awesome art projects!
