Our little Franciscan community celebrated a great milestone as Br. Matt DeAngelis became the first male member of the Franciscans of the Eucharist to profess First Vows on August 2, 2020, the Feast of Our Lady of the Angels! First Vows in our community is typically held in the church in the presence of family and friends, but due to the pandemic, Br. Matt’s vows were held in the new Adoration Chapel in the Outreach Center (former school building) in the presence of only a handful of special guests. Thanks to the gift of technology, Br. Matt’s family, including his grandparents and extended family in Italy, were able to virtually join us for the joyous occasion.
